FAQ

Regenerative Medicine can be used by individuals of all ages. However, it is typically used as a therapy for those with chronic pain, age-related disorders, and injuries.

Regenerative Medicine works by using stem cells and/or other cellular growth factors to allow the body to promote the repair response within the damaged or injured tissues and cells.

Regenerative Medicine is an approach to healing and regaining function through the use of cellular-based therapies. Regenerative Medicine restores, repairs and replaces injured, aging and diseased tissues, cells and organs within the human body.

Our treatment process starts with your first call to our office. We will explain the ins-and-outs of Regenerative Medicine and how it can improve your health and areas of concern.

Once you have had an initial telephone or in-person consultation, we then review your previous images/reports or obtain new studies to assess the areas of concern.

Your next appointment will be at one of our procedure locations or within our main office in Albuquerque, NM. During this visit, we will administer your specific Regenerative Medicine therapy based on our initial evaluation and discussion with you. Generally, this procedure will take under 30 minutes, depending on the type of procedure and number of areas being treated.

Your follow-up appointment will be either in our office or via telemedicine to ensure proper outcome and recovery. We work with many incredible physical therapists and other specialists to ensure that your road to recovery is seamless and on track.

But it all starts with that initial call…we are here to help.

This is one of our favorite questions. The answer is typically YES and No. Depending on the type of Regenerative Medicine being used and the clinical indication, the answer will change. We practice evidence based medicine and our double board-certified physicians will only perform procedures that are safe, evidence-based and clinically indicated.

Regenerative Medicine has incredible results. However, each person experiences different levels of recovery, based on the underlying conditions. While we hope that each patient has a fantastic outcome, we cannot guarantee a result.

We do have a fee schedule and we will be happy to discuss this with you during your initial consultation. However, as there are many different types of procedures performed based on areas, frequency, types of Regenerative Medicine used and need for additional imaging, each of our patients has a price that is based on these specifics.

We offer many forms for payment of services. We accept credit cards, checks, wire transfer and digital payments. If you aren’t able to pay in full at the time of service, we also offer Payment Plans to help defer the cost over time. We would be happy to discuss this further with you.

At this time, we do not accept insurance. However, we will provide you with a superbill with procedure codes and insurance billing codes for you to seek reimbursement from your insurance company for out-of-network services. There are many different types of insurance plans, so be sure to check with your insurance to determine your specific benefits.

NO. We do not use or source any Embryonic Stem cells, that are derived from human embryos and collected from umbilical cord tissue. MSCs are not ethical or FDA-approved in the United States.

At Thrive, ensuring your safety is our utmost priority. We source the MSC stem cells exclusively from ethically sourced allogeneic sources. These stem cells, which have a very high safety profile, have been extensively studied and do not pose a risk of causing cancer. This well-established safety profile is why they are widely used in clinics. Moreover, allogeneic stem cells offer several advantages. They are easier and less painful to administer since they are not harvested directly from the patient. Additionally, they contain more youthful cells with a higher ability to signal and produce exosomes, facilitating enhanced therapeutic effects. One significant benefit is that patients do not need to find a matching donor for allogeneic stem cell therapy. These stem cells possess immune privilege, meaning the immune system initially does not recognize them, allowing them to work effectively. Subsequently, the immune system identifies and removes them, akin to a painter coming to paint a room with a fresh coat and then leaving. This process ensures optimal therapeutic outcomes without the need for donor matching. At Thrive, we partner with a high-quality and reputable company that completes rounds of testing to ensure the quality and differentiation factors of our stem cell products. This collaboration underscores our commitment to providing you with safe and effective treatments.
